Jacious Sears, a junior at Tennessee, won the first women's 100-meter title for the Volunteers since 2005 with a wind-legal effort of 10.96 seconds at the Southeastern Conference Championships at LSU's Bernie Moore Track and Field Stadium in Baton Rouge. Sears also finished second in the 200-meter final in 22.45 seconds, in addition to contributing to a third-place performance in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:29.98, as well as a fifth-place effort in the 4x100-meter relay in 43.48 seconds.
