Wayne Pinnock, a freshman at Tennessee representing Jamaica, triumphed in the men's long jump final with a first-round leap of 26-5 (8.05m) at the Southeastern Conference Championships at the Ole Miss Track and Field Complex in Oxford, Mississippi. Pinnock also contributed to a fourth-place finish in the 4x100-meter relay in 39.52 for the Volunteers.
