Wayne Pinnock, a freshman at Tennessee representing Jamaica, won the men's long jump title with a 26-3 (8.00m) performance in the sixth round that allowed him to match Jeremiah Davis of Florida State and prevail based on a second-jump tiebreaker at 26-1.50 (7.96m) at the NCAA Division 1 Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Davis achieved a second-best mark of 25-10 (7.87m) in the sixth round after achieving his 26-3 (8.00m) effort in the fifth round. Pinnock is the first male athlete in Tennessee history to win the indoor long jump and outdoor long jump titles, along with following JuVaughn Harrison of LSU, who achieved the sweep of both championships last year.
